The Pitman's dominate the Jubilee Festival over two days Sat 25th & Sun 26th May - Billy pipping his dad by 6lbs
Sixteen anglers took part in the Spring Festival at Jubilee Pools. The
format was that each angler would fish a section on Jubilee Pool and a
section on Withies Pool. The result was determined by section placings
and accumulative points. Four points were awarded for a Section win,
three points for second etc. The individual winner of each pool would
receive £15 on both days. An optional pool of £5 was also organised
paying out the first and second placed anglers on each pool. The first
six anglers overall in the Festival would receive cash prizes.
The result of the first match on Saturday saw Billy Pitman win the Jubilee Pool from J2 with 31lb 5oz. Second place on Jubilee Pool was claimed by Dave Bowditch weighing in 29lb 11oz on J24. The winner on the Withies Pool was a Ian Pitman weighing in 13lb 5oz on W3. Second place was claimed by Derek Hopkins weighing in 8lb 5oz on W22.

The overall winner of Jubilee a Pool was Ian Pitman weighing in 48lb 14oz on J16. Second place was taken by Richard Ford weighing in 46lb 8oz on J22. The winner on Withies Pool was Billy Pitman weighing in 35lb 2oz on W23. Second place was taken by Bob Evans weighing in 19lb 2oz on W18.

6. Bob Evans scoring a two day total of 5 points ( total weight 38lb)
