Chris Taylor wins Fur and Feather Sunday 8th December
Thirteen anglers took part in the EJAS Fur and Feather Match held on
Jubilee Pool. Conditions were extremely blustery in a near gale force
wind.
The format of the match was that there were Tesco Vouchers for the
first three anglers overall ( £25, £20 and £15) and there was an
assortment of Christmas themed goods such as chocolates, biscuits, beer
and wine for all participants. A five pound Optional Pool was organised
by Richard Ford which paid out the first three anglers overall who had
entered the Optional Pools.
The winner in a close fought contest was Chris Taylor weighing in
24lb 2oz of carp on J9. The catch consisted of five carp taken on the
pole. Second place was taken by Bob Evans weighing in 23lb 13oz of carp
and a solitary bream on J25. Third place was secured by Alan Gardner
weighing in three carp caught on the feeder on J1 weighing in at 21lb
2oz.
All contestants won an individual Christmas themed goody bag. The
author would like to place on record thanks to Mark Court for all the
hard work in organising and purchasing the prizes distributed in the Fur
and Feather.
The Bonus peg funds were not won today.
Other weights of note were Ray Nosworthy weighing in two carp on J7
for 16lb 7oz, Frank Wallace weighing in four carp I believe on J12 for
15lb 10oz and Mark Birbeck weighing in two carp on J19 for 13lb 4oz.
Wishing all members a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2020.
