Dave Bowditch wins Keith Stanley Memorial Sunday 14th July

Eighteen anglers contested the Keith Stanley Memorial Match / Air
Ambulance fund raiser at Jubilee Fishery. The Stanley Family had kindly
donated raffle prizes and a £100 cash which was used to pay out the main
prize winners. A raffle was also organised to raise funds for the Air
Ambulance. Members of the Ford family had kindly agreed to do a barbecue
at the conclusion of the match.
The winner of the match was Dave Bowditch weighing in 58lb 11oz on
J1. Dave's catch consisted of mainly bream supplemented with two carp.
Dave won a cash prize and the Keith Stanley Memorial Plate for his
sterling efforts. Second place was claimed by Mark Court weighing in
43lb 14oz of carp on J25. Third place was secured by Ray Nosworthy
weighing in 42lb 6oz of carp on J12. Fourth place was taken by Richard
Ford weighing in 39lb 5oz on J8.
Section winners were Chris Taylor weighing in 31lb 9oz on J5 (
Section J1,2,4,5,7 and 8), Jim Bennett weighing in 25lb 12oz on J13 (
Section J10,12,13,15,16 and 18) and Graham Scott weighing in 21lb 10oz
on J19 ( Section J19,21,22,23,25 and 26).
Alwyn Stanley presented the winners with their prizes. Thanks must be given to the Stanley family for their support and to Richard Ford's family for organising and serving the barbecue food. The match raised £185.50 for the Air Ambulance from the proceeds of the Peg fees, raffle tickets, food and donations from the participants.
